Found in a folder labeled NG (No Good) in the Game Boy lot check, this appears to be a rejected prototype for the European Yu Gi Oh: Dark Duel Stories. This build is dated June 14 2002, approx 5 months before release.

Title Screen#

The prototype does not have its subtitle added in yet, though the space for it has been allocated.

Card Differences#

Most of the changes implemented in the final European build aren't present yet.

Spellcaster is still called Magician in this build.

Sea Serpents are still called Sea Dragon.

Water cards in this build are called "Aqua", meaning there are cards out there with "Aqua/Aqua" typing.

Flame Cards are still referred to as Pyro.

Divine cards still retain the "Devine" typo.

Text Differences#
