An E3 2005 demo of Super Mario Strikers was released on Interactive Multi-Game Demo Disc Version 31. It has a build date of July 28, 2005, which is nearly four months before the final version. The demo also features a lot of leftover E3 stuff that it could be enabled in the user.ini file.

Replacing "true" with "false" will change some of the features.
- e3_build enables the save feature, the E3 character selection with more characters, stages, and options.
- fev2 enables a fix when the characters don't show up at the character selection. It also enables the E3 side screen, and the E3 pause screen.
- newloadscreen enables the E3 loading screen.
You can also enable inaccessible modes by using this code here.

- You don't get an item for performing a fully charged strike.
- Some sound effects are missing.
- Stadiums appear completely different, opting for a brighter, more colorful style compared to the final.
- Stadium Select screen uses placeholder images instead of screenshots.
Menu Differences#
Main Menu#

Final |
|---|---|
|
|
|
TONS of changes in the main menu can be spotted right away:
- Mario is shown wearing his normal outfit rather than his soccer outfit in the final and his facial expression looks more angry showing some teeth.
- The soccer outline has flames in it.
- The "Cup Battles" and "Super Cup Battles" were originally known as "Battle Mode" and "Super Battle Mode".
- "Accept" was changed to "Continue".
- The "Back" button is missing, as well as the lock icon for when Super Cup Battles isn't unlocked.
- Strikers 101 is missing.
- The info box is yellow.
Character Selection#

The older version features a very early character selection screen along with some characters that have different outfits. Super Team's icon is replaced with a question mark icon instead of being completely blackout, like in the final. They notably use 3D models, but are static completely in the demos and final.
In this build, Mario and Donkey Kong don't wear their soccer outfits. The background is simpler, and the outline around the characters is more jagged.
Graphical Differences#
Banner (Unused)#

The banner is nothing like the final, and Mario is nowhere to be seen.

The screen is brighter, while both "Developed by" and URL text are missing in this demo.

|---|---|
|
|
- The background is basic and less detailed.
- The E3 demo uses the early logo.
- Mario wears a different outfit.
- The copyright text is placed differently.
Kick Off Screen#

The early kick off screen which shows the word "KICK OFF!" and a rolling soccer ball was replaced with Mario kicking the soccer ball.
Text Differences#
Memory Card#
No Save File

Final |
|---|---|
|
Super Mario Strikers will automatically save to the Memory Card in Slot A (6 blocks). Please do not touch the Memory Card or the POWER button while the game is saving. Create a file for this game on the Memory Card in Slot A? |
There is no Super Mario Strikers data on the Memory Card in Slot A. This game requires 1 file and 5 blocks to save. Would you like to create a file for this game on the Memory Card in Slot A? |
The game would have required six blocks to save on a Memory Card instead of five blocks and almost the whole text was redone in the final, although a similar text is used after creating a save file.
