This page details one or more prototype versions of Striker (SNES).

A prototype of World Soccer '94: Road to Glory, the American version of Striker. This prototype is very early, and still retains many elements of the European release, including the title.

The publisher credit has been changed, though the final would add a comma. Additionally, the background and palette are randomly selected in both versions of Striker, but only one background is used in World Soccer '94.

Language Selection#

Both versions of Striker start with a language selection menu, whereas in World Soccer '94 it is skipped upon startup, but was not removed entirely, as it is still accessible through a code (Up, Down, L, R, R, L, Down, Up) printed on the Spanish section of the instruction manual, and was updated to feature the World Soccer logo and Atlus logo.

The Elite logo was replaced with an Atlus one, and the rest of the copyright info was moved to compensate.

"Football" was changed to "Soccer", and the Elite logo was replaced with an Atlus one.

Graphical Differences#

Both versions of Striker use the same grass tiles, which were redrawn in World Soccer '94.

The Rage Software billboards were recolored in the final, and Atlus billboards were added.

Cup Winners#

Final (Europe)	US Proto	Final (US)

The Super Cup's Elite team has been renamed to Atlus, with their flag replaced with the Rage Software one also used on the Special Cup screen (evidently a placeholder). The final changed it to an Atlus flag along with changing "Football" to "Soccer".
