Namco Museum Essentials Trial was released late August to Closed Beta players of PlayStation Home in 20081. The demo has an exclusive reward that is not in the full game.
Early/Unused Music#
The sound files are in WAV format in the demo. In the full game, it's a mix of MSF and BNK formats.
In the full game, two music tracks, including the unused credits theme, have a slowdown applied seemingly after a (possibly unused) loop point in MSF format. The demo lacks this effect with the WAV files lacking any loop points.

The menu music saw two notable instrument changes made in the full version to sound more closely to an 8-bit chiptune song.

Regional Differences#
There are a few differences between the JP demo, the Asia demo, and the US/EU demo.
The XMB icons have gradient applied to them since the initial JP/Asia Closed Beta.

Version 1.00 of the JP/Asia Closed Beta had three tabs blacked out tabs, suggesting there may have been plans for a seventh game at one point. Version 1.01 cut them down to two tabs, making a total of six. The US/EU demo replaced the two blacked out tabs with previews of Xevious Resurrection and Dragon Spirit respectively.

Further supported is the existence of NMMainPageExp.png within the JP/Asia Closed Beta, presumably from earlier in development.
Exclusive to the JP demo exist two PNG files located within anime_image. They are absent from the Asia demo, despite basing off of the Japanese demo.

PlayStation Home Trial Screens#
These screens were accessible through game-launching from PlayStation Home. Since the service's closure however, these screens have become unused. As Dragon Spirit and Xevious Resurrection are absent from the demos, only four games have have their demo exclusive title screens.
