This page details one or more prototype versions of MultiVersus.
Beta Builds#
Battle Bound prototype#
Battle Bound was a prototype built by Player First Games in order to pitch the idea of a crossover platform fighter to various companies, before landing on Warner Bros. Discovery and becoming MultiVersus. The prototype might've been initially pitched to The Walt Disney Company, as models and textures based on MARVEL's Hulk (taken from Disney Infinity) and Quinjet (taken from a fanmade Grand Theft Auto mod), as well as the Fix-It Felix arcade game from the 2012 animated movie Wreck-It Ralph, were found inside the Tech Tests' files.
Reindog was originally part of this prototype, making him the only asset from Battle Bound to make it into the final game.
Ninja & Brute#
Two more original characters besides Reindog were made for this prototype codenamed "Ninja" and "Brute", an assassin-like female character and a male hulky bruiser character. Ninja's and Brute's movesets would later be reworked for Arya Stark and Shaggy respectivelly. Ninja also had a scroll which reused a symbol from the Naruto franchise.

Lion Watch#
An original map made for the prototype, had multiple variations datamined. According to leaked documents, the map was originally meant to return in MultiVersus.1
