This build of DOS M.U.G.E.N introduces Kung Fu Man and his stage, making the game playable for the first time.
This build does have notable differences from the official WinMugen release.
Differences From WinMugen#
- Much like the previous DOS M.U.G.E.N builds, there are no sounds for the title screen or player selection screens yet.
Kung Fu Man#
Kung Fu Man himself looked completely different: his sprites are less detailed, and a large number of his animations were different. He also only uses 2 buttons for attacks, and only has his Kung Fu Palm move.
Due to this version of him being very old, he doesn't work on WinMugen. However, his animations and sprites can still be ripped and seen via Fighter Factory, although an edit exists for this KFM that makes him playable in newer versions of MUGEN.
Animations#
Idle
His mouth was not animated.

Standing Kick
The DOS version of Kung Fu Man's kick shows him kicking at the up angle. Since the DOS version uses only 2 buttons, he only has one standing kick instead of two.

Jumping Punch
DOS Kung Fu Man's jump punch shows him punching at a straight angle, rather than a down angle or delivering a chop. Since the DOS version uses only 2 buttons, he only has one jumping punch instead of two.
Interestingly, the animation's last frame in the DOS version has the time set to 3000 ticks, which means it can play again after finishing, though this is almost impossible to see normally due to the length of the last frame being 150 seconds.

Jumping Kick
Much like the standing kick, DOS Kung Fu Man kicks at the up angle when airborne, with having only one jump kick instead of two. The time is set to 600 ticks, meaning it will repeat after 10 seconds, though seeing it normally is hard due to the length of the last frame of the animation.
