This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

Early Opening Cutscene#

Watch on YouTubeAn even earlier version of the opening cutscene can be found in the "left4dead2_lv" folder. This version of the cutscene is generally more unpolished, lacking the film grain filter and missing effects. Some animations are different and several scenes take place at a different time of day or are lit up in a different way to the final. Notably, a Smoker with a yellow shirt appears, matching its appearance in drawn sprites which appear in the game such as its Versus icon.
