This is a sub-page of Proto:Jelly Boy (SNES).

This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.

Another prototype of Jelly Boy for the SNES was released by SNESCentral on October 15, 2021. It is dated around October 1994 (the date when Electronic Arts was going to be publishing it).

Differences#

  • The copyright screen is simple, only displaying the "LICENSED BY NINTENDO" text.
  • The publisher splash screen shows the Electronic Arts logo instead of the Ocean logo, indicating that EA was originally going to be the publisher of the game.
  • The copyright in the initial logo displays "©PROBE SOFTWARE LTD" instead of "©ELECTRONIC ARTS".
  • The high score counter has much lower default scores than in the final, and its names are rearranged. The name "PINKY" is displayed, which was replaced with "BEASLEY" in the final version.

Language Select#

A language select screen is present in the prototype, but was removed in the final version. The languages consist of English, Japanese, German and French, but selecting any language besides English does nothing.
