This page sucks.
If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome.

To do:

  • Every image and video here need to be replaced, renamed and/or removed.
  • Expand more on the contents found in this build, including data mining the assets.

HITMAN2015_Silent_War.png

This January 2015 prototype was from when the game was originally called Hitman: Silent War. Insert subtitle joke here.

This build is quite extensive, predating the game's release by 14 months. It includes a mostly-finished Paris and very unfinished Sapienza.

Hitman: Absolution Leftovers#

Many of 47's animations were reused from Absolution, especially his movement and combat animations. Several of these would end up being used in the final game, albeit mostly shortened.

Human Shields#

Taking hostages works the same as it does in Absolution. If arrested, when the guard gets close, 47 will take the guard's weapon and hold them hostage. 47 can also do this if he has a weapon equipped and sneaks behind someone.

Hand-To-Hand Leftovers#

47 fights the exact same way he does in Absolution.

Weapon Takedown Leftovers#

As in Absolution, taking down NPCs with a blunt object will kill them. This ended up being changed in the final game. It is also not possible at this stage to throw any objects aside from blades and other sharp objects like screwdrivers.

Audio Differences#

Extra Diana Dialogue#

In the introductory Paris level, Diana regularly updates 47 on the target whereabouts and gives him hints, as opposed to the final game where she only speaks to 47 on certain occasions.

Early Sanguine Bar Music#

An earlier version of the song that plays in the bar located inside of Palais de Walewska.

Visual Differences#

General#

Early Map Screen#

An early version of the map screen. The areas marked in red are areas where 47 would be trespassing with his default suit. These red areas do not change or disappear even when you change disguise, which would've been quite confusing for the player.

Early Title Screen#

An early title screen depicts 47 at an airport.

Early Mini-Map#

A completely different looking mini-map compared to the final game.

Early 47 Face#

47 originally sported a significantly older appearance compared to his final look (and subsequent revisions in Hitman 2 and Hitman 3).

Early Inventory#

At this point in development, the inventory was quite barren in appearance.

Paris#

Removed Large Sanguine Ice Structure#

A large, glowing Sanguine logo made out of ice was present in front of the palace. It ended up getting replaced with a large fountain, though it was moved to the lounge later down the line in a smaller size.

Early Sanguine Lounge#

An earlier version of the lounge in Palais de Walewska, which looks a lot brighter overall. The floor tiles also changed quite a bit, lacking the larger, unique pattern it later received.

Early Sanguine Catwalk#

As with the lounge, the catwalk's surrounding environment is a lot brighter than it is in the final game.

Removed Features#

Crime Scenes#

If 47 were to kill an NPC out of sight, that area would become a Crime Scene, and it will be marked on the map in red. If 47 passes through or stays in this area, he will be frisked by nearby guards, unless he was wearing a guard disguise. If the guard isn't able to find anything on 47, he is free to go. However, if a weapon is found on 47, he will be arrested, like with every other frisk in the game. In the final release, 47 will be considered suspicious if he hangs around a dead or pacified body, and skips the frisking entirely.
