The CG department seems to be the department tasked with building the structures of the world. These islands are the raw, world generated islands, without any of the Dioramas generated afterwards.

The CG department seems to be the department tasked with building the structures of the world. These islands are the raw, world generated islands, without any of the Dioramas generated afterwards. This map has some more resemblance to the original Moonbrooke from DQII, for example, the beach south of the castle.

The CG department seems to be the department tasked with building the structures of the world. This island is the debug playroom where the devs tested all of the items, built structures, and seemed to have fun with.
This island was originally generated with the generation code of a very early version of the Isle of Awakening. Chunks of the island resemble the final release's island.
There are "default blocks", which are blocks that were removed and default to the earth texture; weird items scattered across the floor, which ID wise are slotted between plant like items, meaning they originally were vegetation that got removed and their ID got repurposed; items that go unused, like the clothing rack or a variant of the milkblossom with an orange tint instead of the blue tint; areas that can be seen in prerelease footage or even in final game pictures (need to double check that); and much more.

This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this. Specifically: Sooo much in here its insane.
This house could have been built before corner connecting fences were coded in
An aea where the prologue ship and the Moonbrooke ship chill together.
This version of the ship has cannons.
This sends you to a menu where you can see all of the blocks in different backgrounds, and all items as well, sorted by ID.

As such, the menus have their text be **** instead of the proper japanese text. They need to be replaced with proper japanese images to be able to translate the menu.
