Demo (v0.4.0-v0.4.5h)

The v0.4 demo was a demo that was released to the Indiegogo backers of the Bug Fables project. The first version was released on Feb. 1st, 2018, along with the creation of the Indiegogo campaign itself. ¹ This version was later patched until v.0.4.5h, which is still available on the itch.io page.

General Differences#

• In all of the Indiegogo demos, Vi, Kabbu, and Leif use their placeholder names (Bee, Beetle, and Moth respectively.) The names would later be finalized on April 28th of the same year,² after the conclusion of the Indiegogo campaign.

v0.4.4b	Final

• A different font is used for the HP count, BP count, Team Rank, etc.
• The font used for your selected option and current location is slightly bolder and more spaced out.
• The clock icon is different.
• Kabbu's icon has a stray line on its horn.
• Only six discoveries, ten enemies, fifteen recipes, and twelve achievements are present in this version of the game.
• The Quest List is absent.

v0.4.4b	Final

• The Ant Kingdom emblems that are usually located on the walls of the Explorer's Association are not present.
• Artis' dialogue uses the default dialogue sounds.
• The leaf on the garbage bin shaped object on the left is different.
• The Hard Mode Medal has an orange outline instead of a black outline.
• The description for the Hard Mode Medal is different.

v0.4.4b	Final

• The flowers outside the Explorer's Association use a different texture.
• The cabinet-esque thing in the back uses a different leaf texture.
• The Ancient Crystals are slightly transparent.
• The chapter title cards are absent.
• The lighting effects look slightly different.

v0.4.4b	Final

• The cloud effects are not present in this version.
• Chuck gives you a Honey Drop instead of 10 Berries after you help him.
