- The timer starts at over 8:40, most likely 9:00. The final changed this to 5:00 for Japan and 3:00 for US.
- A lighter green coloured bush was removed from the bottom right of the starting screen.
- The water is not animated in the trailer.
- Extra detail was added to the corners of the HUD.

- No sections resembling this appears in the final stage. There are no spike pits found in any of the Go-Go America stages, and only one small snowy platform in this stage.

- Again, no sections resembling this one appear in the final stage. The colour palette for the walls and ground are completely different, being changed from purples to orange and a muddy brown.

- The title design is completely different (and much cooler), with the original design being based on the logo for the Japanese version of the TV series, Chiki Chiki Machine Ferocious Race.
- A subtitle is underneath the title, largely hidden by the advertising text. It looks as if it may say ブラック魔王最後の挑戦, which was the title of the first episode of Wacky Races in Japan.
- The space was removed between the copyright symbol and 1991.
- A copyright for Hanna Barbera was added.
