Test Footage#
Watch on YouTubeThe video shows an unreleased prototype build that has various stuff changed and removed shown in order.
- The game is named "Twisted Metal 3: Calypso's Revenge" fittingly due to the endings of the game.
- There was supposed to be a USPS truck playable called "Postal". It's unknown if it's a placeholder for Sweettooth due to both being trucks or was an original character that got removed due to legal reasons from the United States Postal Service.
- Its soundtrack uses a lot from Quake II.
- Washington DC looks like it's supposed to be larger scale and open.
- Shows off an early version of London and Mr. Grim which has a totally different design, having no sidecar and having the driver's appearance from first game.
- Also in London real-life brands were used as placeholders like McDonald's and FedEx.
- Show off a totally scrapped level, according to the description it was supposed to be San Francisco; the level has a lot of hills, suggesting it was going to play with verticality. It's unknown if LA replaced it or if it was supposed to be a new level entirely.
- Also it shows off another scrapped character which is a BMW 3. Again it's unknown if it's a placeholder for another character or a totally new character.
- Shows off an early version of Hangar 15.
- The North Pole was supposed to be bigger like Washington.

To do: |
The December issue lists three noticeable things.
- It says Darktooth from Twisted Metal 2 was supposed to return as a boss. Most likely got replaced by PrimeEval.
- Flower Power's art is more like a hippie with hair and a bandana.
- The most interesting one is Calypso the artwork of Minion suggesting he was supposed to be the final boss of III and would be the first time he was playable.
