Jaguar Print Ad#
An early print ad for the game features the SNES version's plot in instead of the final one. It also uses a build that is very similar to the early proto build (only with an electoon counter that would later appear in the DemoDemo build) that is currently available.

Scrapped Level#
Diehard GameFan Issue 21 (August 1994) printed an image of a scrapped tree level. It has a Small Livingstone riding on a spider which doesn't happen in the final game.

Concept Art#
On the 19th of January 2026, the official Rayman twitter account posted concept art from the first Rayman game1. Among them, is concept art for Mr. Dark looking through his binoculars from the final games' opening cutscene. Furthermore, most of it is showing Rayman in various forms and expressions. Notably however, the drawing of Rayman and the Elektoon trying to communicate to be silent, did later on get realised for a loading screen in the PS1 and Sega Saturn versions of the game.
