Of the six seen in the footage, Blastoise and Charizard seem to use their final models, while the rest look crude in comparison.

Animations#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Compare Charizard's early fainting animation to the final one used in-game. Also, does the kicking animation for Blastoise still exist in the game, unused?

  • Blastoise has a kicking animation that it does not perform in the final game.
  • Charizard has a different faint animation.

Club Nintendo Año 07 No. 01 (Mexico Vizioman)#

This magazine contains pre-release images of the Japanese Pokémon Stadium.

Early HUD#

This shows an early HUD seen in some trailers, where Pokémon face the screen. The battle command menu is also not seen in the final game, instead having a system that allows moves to be hidden.

Early Menus#

This shows off the Pokédex and Status Menus for Pokémon. They're slightly different from the final game, with Rattata having a very early model.

Early Animations#

Early battle animations, featuring Blastoise using Hydro Pump and Charizard using Fire Spin. A unique camera angle not seen in the final game is also visible.

Playing Cards#

A set of playing cards from 1998 features model renders from Pokémon Stadium on them. A few Pokémon, however, don't match how they appear in-game.

Ivysaur#

Card

In-Game

Ivysaur's eyes are not only red instead of purple, but very large.

Meowth#

Card

In-Game

Meowth's proportions are very strange, with its head flatter and eyes larger.

Jigglypuff#

Card

In-Game

The inside of Jigglypuff's ears are white, as well as its eyes being bluer.

Dratini#

Card

In-Game

Dratini's eyes are mistakenly upside-down, and also a lighter shade of blue.
