An early version of Nepgear transforming into her goddess form in-battle can be seen at 2:11. In the final release, the transformation sequence is on a separate screen with a unique animation, while the pre-transformation animation in the former is used in Heartfelt Photo Mode.

Maho#

Before settling on bright pink, Maho originally had a peach hair color. Other hair colors were chosen, such as sky blue, white, and lilac pink with peach gradients. Her hair, specifically her bangs, were also much messier.
Her jacket had three different colors: the first as red with white accents, the second as blue with yellow accents, and the third as yellow wrapped around like an off-shoulder cape.
The “settings” button on her belt was supposed to be an “end call” button, as a contrast to her “start call” button. The buttons were also smaller, and were shafted to the right side of her outfit.
Her strapless vest had a gold zipper with the lock being a heart symbol instead of a power symbol, her stockings had garters, her skirt had a yellow lining at the bottom, one early draft colored her skirt teal instead of blue, and another draft (shown in the bottom-right) had the tops of her jacket sleeves were edged in diamonds.
The insignias on her shoes were originally upside-down triangles instead of lightning bolts.
Two early designs depicted her with gloves; one side had a detached sleeve overlay the glove, while another had a tattoo resembling a signal as well as a couple of buttons.
The Wifi symbol on her hair was much larger, her strapless vest included an upside-down triangle and a button with a heart symbol on her collar.
She also wore sunglasses.

Grey Sister#

Three prototype designs depicted her with long pigtails with light pink hair, purple eyes, a one-piece leotard colored grayish-lilac with pink accents, a translucent, torso-exposing front side, rabbit-ear headgears, and thigh-length boots. The middle part of her designs had a petite, childlike figure akin to Uni and the Lowee twins.
The top-left prototype design also had pigtails, but they were sorted in the middle instead of the top. Her suit had blue and teal accents, her hair color was dark brown with light gray gradients, her boots were calf-length, and she also gained glasses when transformed.
