A handful of trailers and promotional videos were released leading up to the game's commercial release. There are some noteworthy differences in some of them!

• There are different block graphics in at least half of the stages shown.
• Some rooms have a slightly different layout than in the final.
• Old Style used the screen size of New Style (8 blocks by 14 blocks), leading to the camera scrolling vertically in some areas.
  (A same-room vertical scroll can be seen in Old Guts Man's stage at 0:42.)
• The Fire Columns in Fire Man's stage and the oil in Oil Man's stage don't do anything yet.
• Time Man either hasn't been implemented as a boss yet or was intentionally missing from his boss chamber.
