Wave 1 Launch Trailer#
General Differences#
- Many Glide Ramps are missing (except where noted), though the driver's gliders activate anyway when they drive over where they should be.
Tour Paris Promenade#
- The Glide Ramp before the Jardins du Trocadéro and Eiffel Tower is present, but uses a generic brick texture instead of the typical one.
3DS Toad Circuit#
- The course's only Glide Ramp is present and correctly textured.
Wii Coconut Mall#
Overall, this course is in a much rougher state than others in the first wave, possibly because its Mario Kart Tour counterpart was still under development at the time.
- Lighting is much brighter.
- The entire course is significantly more washed-out and desaturated-looking than the final DLC, although how much of this is due to the change in lighting is unclear.
- MKTV vans are missing from the parking lots.
- Reflection mapping is different throughout the course. The sides of the escalators in particular look extremely bright, and also appear to be using simpler bump mapping.
- Many spectators are missing or in different locations.
- The Glide Ramp on the upper exit to the parking lot is present and correctly textured.
Tour Tokyo Blur#
- The Glide Ramp before the finish line on the third lap (Tokyo Blur 3) is present and correctly textured.
DS Shroom Ridge#
- The shortcut with the fan blowing air at the second-to-last curve is missing.
- The Glide Ramp shortcut in the open field before the tunnel is completely missing.
Wave 2 Release Date Trailer#
N64 Kalimari Desert#
- Different object layouts don't seem to have been implemented per lap yet:
- While the route shown appears to be the first lap, the first row of Item Boxes after the first train crossing contains no Double Item Boxes, as on the third lap.
- The Item Boxes on the train tracks are present on the first lap, instead of only on the third. There are also only two regular Item Boxes, instead of two regular and two double.
DS Waluigi Pinball#
- The helicopter's searchlight seems to be broken. The model's light is turned on, but the actual visual effect is missing.
