Hunger's logo.

Back in 2014, Hunger was the original name for Little Nightmares, likely indicating that Six has been starving while being trapped in The Maw. However, when Bandai Namco became the publisher for Hunger, Tarsier Studios renamed it to Little Nightmares.

Differences#

Plot

The plot was slightly different during the development of Hunger. Six was kidnapped from her home and became a servant to the hungry visiting Guests, and at some point Six manages to hide in the depths of the Maw, which would have been the start of the game.

Characters

Although characters like Six remained the same, the designs for the Nomes were different, as they wore hats that resembled barrels with slits for the eyes. The Twin Chef's were also changed, as they had a third Chef, before it was reduced to two in the final version.

The Janitor wasn't shown in the original trailer fully, as only his long, lanky arms were shown, so it's unclear if he was finalized by this point of development. It is also worth to mention that the Janitor was supposed to appear in the Kitchen and Guests Area, but it was changed later on.

The unused Wax Bellman character isn't shown anywhere in the original trailer, indicating that he might have not been made yet or that he was implied to be in the game by this point.
