  • The gameplay throughout the trailer seems slower and more sluggish than the final game.

Prerelease

Final

  • The copyright date was changed to the final release date.
  • The characters on the title screen walk slower in the trailer.

  • Both stages in the trailer are unused and bear little resemblance to any in the final stage. The cross marks on the floor in the left stage may make it an early version of the Tanibana Rink. The right stage appears to be taking place in a bathhouse, based on the bathhouse stools in the background and the rink appearing to be soapy water instead.

Prerelease

Final

  • The stages in the trailer use an angled perspective for the rinks, similar to Super Dodge Ball. In the final, this was changed to a flat bird's eye perspective. Because of this change, the graphics for the goal were redone as well.
  • The rinks are much smaller in the trailer, with the top and bottom of the rink being visible at all times.
  • The triangle indicating which character is selected was changed to an arrow.
  • The CPU in both matches has at some moments a blank icon in the HUD with no name/meter. In the final game, a CPU character is always active and has their stats displayed.
  • The background color behind the faces in the HUD changes depending on the color of the rink in the final game. In the trailer, both stages have a purple background instead, despite neither rink being purple.
  • The shoulder tackle sprite seems to be different, with a black line separating the shoulder and body. (Get comparison and confirm)
