Cookie Run: OvenBreak began development in 2015 as a sequel to Cookie Run, and eventually saw a soft-launch release on September 26th, 2016.
Screenshots of some builds late in development were shown off in a SlideShare page released on October 25th, 2016. Strangely, some of these screenshots have high saturation.
GingerBrave and Choco Drop running through Land 1. The most notable difference here is the UI. The font for the scores uses a gray gradient that was also seen in the launch trailer for the game, and the font for "My Best Score" is thinner.
A screenshot with an even earlier UI. The relay Cookie, Skater Cookie, can be seen to the top left. The energy bar is also positioned to match as it appears in LINE/Kakao Cookie Run. A distance meter can also be seen under the energy gague, which isn't normally seen in Trophy Race. The area this screenshot takes place in is in The Witch's Backyard, which is a map that wouldn't make a proper playable appearance until nearly a year later with the introduction of Breakout mode.
