Early Title#
In a 2016 Gameloft investor presentation document, the game was shown using some concept art and a slightly different title ("Asphalt 9: Shockwave").

Early Garage#
Initially, the garage was similar to the one in the previous game. The final game changed it to a basic garage and later exclusively to China version as an "Change garages" option.
