The game was once called Angry Birds Casual at this point, as the internal project name of the final game. The soft-launch retained the original title, until the release of the game. Originally once going to be a sequel to Dream Blast, it later turned out to be in a similar style to Sonic Superstars.

Casual Era#
Originally, the characters use a mix of the classic designs. Uploaded by Lidia Morales on Adobe Behance.
The image shown here is a level based on Easter Island, with 4 color variations. This scenery never appears in the final game, or in the soft-launch version. The birds use a much cartoon design, used as a temporary design before new designs were made.
A level named "Secret Waterfall", with 4 color tests.

The First variation of the sketch with the birds in a temple on the left is different, with a stair instead of a bridge, and the egg is less-abstract. The water sprouting at the bottom was kept.
Early Builds#
A Linkedin post titled "3 Years in the making" shows screenshots of two very early builds of the game. Is speculated to be developed in Unity because of the font and uses placeholder graphics of Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2, as for testing. This post, along with the four images depicts the game's production cycle.
