This page contains notes for the game SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis (Nintendo DS).

Previewing Models#

The game comes with a model viewer. Its intended purpose is to preview all of the treasures you find in-game. However, since treasures use the same model format as every other model in the game (NBMA), it is very easy to replace them.

Do note that you cannot pan the camera in any way. You are only able to rotate it and zoom in and out. For this purpose, it may be easier to use MelonRipper and Blender.

You will need to replace whichever treasure you want in the filesystem. They are in the Treasure_model folder. Note that NBMA also stores textures and vertex color.

Note that this also seems to work with other Altron Nintendo DS games, however, certain models from Phineas and Ferb: Ride Again and later will load with broken skeletons and textures.

Treasures#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: I assumed some of these - there's no way to truly know which model is which by filename. Will have to look into at some other time.
