This is a sub-page of Development:Pokémon Diamond and Pearl/Sprites.
In the leaked Platinum source from October 2024, contained within are leftover Diamond and Pearl scratch pads at pl_data\graphic\戦闘画面\pokegra, which were never revised or otherwise modified during development of Platinum. For some reason, some Pokemon from Sinnoh are missing, and many are still using earlier designs. Cross-checking the sprites with those found in the pokegra files from the localization CVS repository, these scratchpads are dated sometime between early June 2006 and July 12th, 2006. Additionally, many of these still feature cut gender differences between nearly every Pokémon, a feature that would only end up being implemented for 92 of them.
Some shiny palette files are also supplied in the files, but almost half of the Pokemon are missing them. Additionally, for the Pokemon that do have a shiny palette file, about 80% of them are just either the same as the normal colors for the Pokemon, or are earlier versions of their normal colors. A small handful of Pokemon do have proper shiny colors, though.
Due to the sheer amount of images, the scratch pads have been organized by generation for ease of viewing. Do note that unlike the scratch pads for the previous two generations, the top left sprite is not always the final sprite.
