The Chart Format#

While this chart format is mostly similar to the one introduced in Taiko no Tatsujin: Atsumare! Matsuri da!! Yondaime, several major changes were done to the parameters, particularly in the Metadata Area:

  • Tempo parameters
    • Offset - While this parameter is still notated in ms, it is now set to a floating point value, increasing precision.
    • Tempo - Like with the offset, this parameter is set to a floating point value, increasing precision.
  • Branch quota parameters
    • There are now three sets of Advanced Branch and Master Branch quota parameters, for each of the branches. The values themselves also don't seem to be notated in points anymore, being much lower than the previous chart format's.
  • Speed multiplier parameters [Introduced in Rokudaime]
    • Determines the speed multiplier, set to a floating point value, applied to the measure. There are six separate parameters, applied to each of the branches and player sides.

Furthermore, the Suzudon notes from the PlayStation Portable games, as well as the Denden notes from the DS games, have the same note ID as Yam notes (0C).
