Directed by Joe Dante, the 1984 movie Gremlins is about a young man that receives a strange creature called a mogwai, which when fed after midnight sprouts the titular fiends.
Long considered a 1980's pop culture cornerstone, the Gremlins film has spawned several games over the coming decades. Whether they've turned after midnight is another question.
