Apogee means action!
Well, okay, it actually means "the point in the orbit of the moon or of an artificial satellite most distant from the center of the earth", but bear with me here.
in 2008, 3D Realms (the original Apogee) founder Scott Miller sold off the brand to a guy called Terry Nagy (a former employee and college friend of Miller) in Texas who set up the new Apogee Software, LLC, later rebranding to Apogee Entertainment in 2021.
