Formerly known as Spidersoft prior to their purchase in 1998, Tarantula was a division of Take-Two which primarily focused on Game Boy Color titles, many of them published under the then-new Rockstar Games label (such as the somewhat infamous Austin Powers games and the handheld adaptations of Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2) as well as developing a few console games of their own, before being fully integrated into the Rockstar family in 2001 as the dedicated QA division Rockstar Lincoln.
