This page details bugs of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

Exor Glitch#

The programming that makes the main part of Exor only vulnerable when one of its eyes have been taken out also removes Exor's instant death protection. Taking out one of the eyes and then using a timed Geno Whirl on Exor will defeat it instantly.

Mute Freeze Bug#

Trying to cast Mute on a formation of six enemies (by using Toadstool's Mute spell and rotating the Control Pad fast enough so the targeting changes from one enemy to all enemies) crashes the game. Very few enemy formations in the game feature six enemies (one such formation being the battle against six Shamans at the end of one of Bowser's battle doors) which may be why this was overlooked.

Ultra Jump Bug#

Ultra Jump can damage enemies that are normally invulnerable to Jump (or invulnerable period) when it selects a random target for every consecutive jump, as long as the target initially selected is vulnerable to Jump. Each jump that connects this way will do 1 damage.

Most scripted enemies (such as the Tortes in the fight against Bundt) only have 100 HP. Defeating them this way causes the game to softlock.

Over 9999 Damage Bug#

The game does not enforce a damage cap. Using a combination of 100 Ultra Jumps, an enemy weak to Jump and casting boosts/debuffs, it is possible to inflict more than 9999 damage on an enemy, which then shows a glitched damage display (a green I instead of the first digit).
