This page details bugs of Gacha Club.

To do: This game has more bugs/glitches that are existing since day one of release. There are some that are known to the community, but there are others that need to be discovered; find a way to activate them. If someone from the Gacha community knows about uncovered bugs/glitches for this game, it would be nice if they were documented here.

Gacha Club has suffered from a number of bugs or glitches. They usually happen due to the fact that the game was written in ActionScript (where Flash uses it). or maybe because the game hasn't been updated for some time..

Charactery

Charactery is an interesting situation, it is an glitch that appears if Gacha Club isn't able to properly crash, if the save data is corrupted or if your phone is lacking any storage left. This glitch isn't actually Gacha Club only exclusive, it's history goes back to 2018 when Gachaverse was released, the same glitch can be seen in Gacha Life and in it's sequel.
==== Alternative option ==== There's a way to activate Charactery without having to experience things mentioned above, you need to enter Studio mode and bring one of your characters/ocs to background, then press on their character icon and press on edit button, then again press on the character icon and press one of the edit buttons (Presets, Body, Hair etc.) and boom! You activated the glitch. To fix it, press on Studio button again, repeat the process with character icon and edit button, this time do not click on character icon again, go to edit and press the one of edit buttons to bring the game back to it's stable state. Instructions on how to activate Charactery apply to other builds of Gacha Club for different devices, such as Android and iOS.

2023 Update

iOS#

OC Import/Export#

In an August 2023 update for the iOS version, a bug was introduced where players were unable to export their OC codes into their Apple devices.

A workaround has been made by the community to import OC codes by simply turning off your Wi-Fi.

Game Saving#

In the same update, due to an error in the code/files, the game will not save your progress or OCs if you exit the game by swiping up or leave it running open in the background for too long. This can be bypassed if the characters are placed in Studio mode, the scene is saved, and then the game is exited by swiping up.

The same update also introduced more bugs such as random crashes and Interactive Bar.

Beyond Repair iOS files#

In June 2024, French Gachatuber Flotalendy, who helped with the then-newest Gacha game, released a video where she revealed from higher-ups working on Gacha Life 2 that Gacha Club's files for iOS are "beyond repair". According to the higher-ups, the iOS files are messed up to the point where they cannot be reverted to a prior state, leaving the game stuck in the buggy mess it's currently in.
