This page details bugs of BLOODMONEY!.

Debug Tile#

The blue rectangle is the modified "EV005" event.

The "Harvey's Booth" map has an event called "EV005" placed at coordinates (16,12) which can only happen when the "Debug" switch is set to true. This event also has a note "" from the "YEP_EventClickTrigger" plugin that allows it to be clicked on. Due to how this plugin works1, if the player clicks on this tile when the "Debug" switch is set to false, the game will throw an error: "TypeError: Cannot read property 'list' of undefined".

Clicking through the Shop#

An example of what can happen if the player clicks on Harvey while the shop is open.

The game doesn't disable the ability to click on Harvey when the shop is opened. This can result in various things, such as:

  • Harvey's message box appearing on top of the shop.
  • The shop's items and close button not being removed after closing the shop.2
  • The shop's images not being removed during fighting scene, endings and credits.

Incorrect Line Processing#

When the player clicks on Harvey, the game checks the current amount of money and then the amount of said lines for selected object. If the current amount of money exceeds a certain value and the amount of lines for selected object is lower then a certain value, Harvey says a new line. If the player buys a new object at such a big amount of money that several lines meet the required conditions, Harvey says one line per one click, right after the previous line. This logic applies to every object starting from the needle.

However, this logic doesn't work properly for the needle. When the player clicks on Harvey with a big enough amount of money, he will say a new line and then immediately say the next line. Furthermore, due to how the commands are structured for the needle event page, the next line won't increase the "Needle Lines" variable, meaning that the next time the player clicks Harvey, he will repeat the line he already said.

This logic is also bugged for the two last lines of the hammer, except the "Hammer Lines" variable increases properly.

This bug happens because the conditional branches that process these line don't have "Exit Event Processing" command at their ends.
