Debug Teleport#

Willow_(U)_-!--0.png‎

A well-known debug mode can be enabled by using the secret password flag (5DqHg2yN6DqHg2zM7C, for example). Press Select during gameplay and two small numbers (the current area coordinates) will appear near the center of the screen. To change the left number, hold B and press Up or Down; to change the right number, hold A and press Up or Down.

A lesser-known method is a disabled cheat routine (entry point is 0xED8F in the Japanese version and 0xECD5 for the US one). It should be called repeatedly during the game or while pausing. Routine is waiting for button sequence Up, A, Up, A, Down, A, Down, A, Left, B, Left, B, Right, B, Right, B to activate the "Debug teleport mode".

Debug Positioning#

See the huge white glitch? Voila!

Game Genie code ZYUALEIE (Japan) or EGUALALI (US) re-enables another disabled debug routine that allows you to place your character anywhere on the screen. After using these codes, the debug teleport routine will be replaced by the debug sprite routine, so you must enable teleport mode by using the secret password first.

Press Select to enter the routine. Use the D-Pad to move your character (now a huge white glitch) around to your desired position and press Select again to place your character there. The small white glitched sprite at the upper-right corner seems to represent your coordinates, but never changes.
