Fly, shoot the other planes, sink ships, co-op with a friend or fight each other (like two idiots). This is Two Tigers.
WE SALUTE YOU
Version Differences#
There are two major versions of the game: one for a dedicated cabinet, and the other as an upgrade designed for the Tron MCR board. The latter is reported to be more common.
Attract Mode Sequence#
Each version follows a different sequence for the attract mode:
- Game Modes and High Scores
- Developers Credits/Title Screen
- One Player Demo
- Dogfight's leaderboard
- Two Players Co-op Demo
- Two Players Dogfight Demo
- Dedicated: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 5, 4, 1, 2, 6, 4, 1 (loop)
- Tron Conversion: 1, 2, 5, 1, 2, 6, 1 (loop)

The attract mode is much shorter in the Tron Conversion version.

The dedicated version has the developer credits tied with the title screen. The Tron Conversion version replaces them with a simple Bally Midway copyright string.
Dogfight Leaderboard#
Exclusive to the dedicated version is a screen listing the dogfight's best five players, plus a salute from them.
Audio#
The dedicated version uses a special 8-track tape for background music. MAME is capable of emulating this tape, albeit in the form of samples (which you can download here). The Tron Conversion version doesn't use the tape, instead using the players' plane engine as background sound.
Below, an in-game example:

Controls#
- The Dedicated version uses an airplane's yoke to control your plane, whereas the Tron Conversion version uses a spinner. (You can replicate the yoke experience in emulators, such as MAME, by using a steering wheel.)
- The Dedicated version has a third button to speed up your plane. The Tron Conversion doesn't.

The Dogfight differs a lot between versions:
- In the Dedicated version, the object is to sink the other player's aircraft carrier and score more points. Each player has two aircraft carriers per game. The player who sunk more aircraft carriers, or has the higher score, wins.
- In the Tron Conversion version, the object is to shoot down all of the other player's planes. Each player has seven planes. The first player who managed to shoot down all the planes of the other wins.
