Trog! (NES)

To do:
Two prototype ROMs of this port were included inside the release of the arcade source code. Document them.

Trog! is a cute caveman-themed Pac-Man clone originally released in 1990 for the arcades and one year later ported to the MS-DOS and NES. The NES version lacks the "Playmation" art style present in the original Arcade game, as well as removing two of the four playable characters.

Unused Music#

Track #2 of the NSF file is a short jingle not heard anywhere in the game. It's Spike's victory theme from the arcade game, but the NES title uses the one belonging to Rex (a cut character) instead.

Regional Differences#

In the US version you can start the game at any time, but in the European version you have to wait until the credits screen appears.

Europe

The bottom of the US version's credits screen mentions "Licensed by Nintendo of America Inc.", which was shortened to "Licensed by Nintendo" in the European release.
