Time Killers is a weapon-based 1-on-1 fighting game where fighters from different time periods compete to determine who's the best. Like Mortal Kombat, the game is known for its intense combat, featuring lots of blood and violence. What makes Time Killers unique is the ability for characters to rip each other apart and disable each other's attacks, or even use a special Death Move to instantly finish a round by decapitating the opponent.
Sadly, games like Mortal Kombat and the later Samurai Shodown vastly outperformed it, leaving this janky-but-fun arcade game by the wayside. However, a more traditional fighting game with a somewhat similar story and name -- Timeslaughter -- was released by Bloodlust Software four years later for MS-DOS computers.
