Stretch Panic is a bizarre 3D platformer released by Treasure in 2001. It's the unusual story of an unusual little girl named Linda, whose older sisters have been transformed into bizarre creatures by the Demons of Vanity. Linda needs to use her demon-possessed scarf to stretch everything in her path to get them back to normal. It's not as good as it sounds, being more of a tech demo than anything, but there's still a lot of Treasure Co. charm to be had.
Regional Differences#
Stretch Panic received a lot of additional content when released in Japan as Hippa Linda.
Enemies#
The EX Stages now feature additional enemies besides the notorious Bonitas. These consist of a harmless seal creature being eaten by a fish, and a large head with sharp teeth that appears to be in gyaru makeup.
Boss Titles#
All of the game's bosses received a boss title upon completing their transformation, showing their name and giving a subtitle that hints at how to beat them. The boss names themselves were also altered.
