Unused Names#

A set of unused names from the ending sequence graphics. The ending includes a cast of enemies from the game, but the first two are mistakenly named "Chip" and "Dale," with all subsequent names being offset by two. Due to this curious two-name offset, "IRA" and "ARNOLD" may belong to the last two enemies that are seen there. It is not known what enemies the other three names would refer to.

Cheats#

There are a handful of cheat codes that can be entered on the title screen:

  • Level select: Hold A + C + Right, wait until a demo plays, then press Start. Upon returning to the title screen, a two-digit number representing the level should be displayed above the "Push Start Button" text. Use C to advance by one level.
  • Invincibility: Press B + C + Left and then press Start.
  • Infinite continues: Press B + C + Down.
  • Ending: Press A + B + Up and then press Start to see the ending.

Super Mario World#

Careful, you'll lose an eye.

This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.
Specifically: Some more in-game screenshots will need to be uploaded here.

This reskin of Squirrel King, unclear if it was made by the same developers, changes the playable characters to Mario and Luigi along with other changes:

  • The title screen is completely different and the character select screen mimicks the title screen from Super Mario Bros. This is inconsistent because the title screen calls the game "Super Mario World", while the character select screen calls the game "Super Mario Bros."
  • The graphics for Mario, Luigi, the enemies, and Bowser are based on their sprites from the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros.
  • The first two acts are based on some levels from Super Mario Bros. and The Lost Levels, replacing Street Cruise and Pay a Visit to Grotto. These levels also play a rendition of SMB1's Ground BGM based on the Super Mario All-Stars version.

Unused Graphics#

This version contains some unused sprites of Mario and Luigi:

  • A peace sign, a recreation of the "entering vertical pipe" sprite from Super Mario All-Stars.
  • Skidding, similar to the one seen in Super Mario All-Stars.
  • Shooting a fireball, similar to the one seen in Super Mario All-Stars. The game uses a generic throw sprite for shooting fireballs.
  • A climbing sprite.
  • A shocked sprite.
  • Two continue sprites. The game uses sprites with a different palette than the ones Mario and Luigi have in-game.
