Sonic the Hedgehog (SNES)

To do: Document all of the changes made between both games.

SONIC! SONIC!

This supposed SNES version of Sonic the Hedgehog is simply just a bootleg hack of Speedy Gonzales in Los Gatos Bandidos. This hack most notably replaces Speedy with Sonic and the caged mice he rescues with Mario. It's also known for having some other interesting changes such as (poorly) replacing the digitized audio and also having the most brilliantly-written ending ever conceived.

This hack probably shouldn't be confused with anything else sharing this title.

Unused Levels#

Sleepy Rock goes unused in this hack, but can be accessed with Pro Action Replay codes 7E0098:00 for Part 1 and 7E0098:1A for Part 2. The level shares the same glitches with the other stages such as the red background and incorrectly assigned sound effects.

Unused Audio#

While this laugh does play during Ye Olde Bounty's boss fight, the sound is broken in-game and cuts off at random, so it's never heard in its entirety.
