Regional Differences#
Common with many Technos releases at the time (e.g. Double Dragon), Taito distributed this game in both Japan and in overseas markets. For the US release, the company went looking for a third-party licensee until they struck a deal with Memetron in the US.

The US version shifts Taito's copyright up to add in the Memetron copyright text.
The European/UK release was supposed to be retitled "Soldier of Light", but Taito skimped on the title screen art.

The mission was slighty rewritten in the US version. All planets were renamed into a more accurate Solar System, though the fact that Xain is the player character's name was removed.
