Rockin' Kats is a goofy platformer in which Willy, a rockin' kat with a punch gun, must rescue his girlfriend from Mugsy, a stinkin' dog with lots of friends.

Specifically: Is there a way to trigger this, perhaps in later levels?

Unused flapping tiles for the Bat enemy, which seem to suggest he was able to fly (and hang sideways?) at one point. In the final game, he just hangs upside down and throws mini-bats at you.

Regional Differences#

The game was first released in Japan as New York Nyankies aka NY Nyankies. It was localized as Rockin' Kats for the US and European release.

The title screen was completely overhauled and the Atlus logo was redrawn in the US and European versions. "Licensed by Nintendo of America Inc." in the US version was replaced with "Licensed by Nintendo" in the European version.
