Ricochet Infinity is a breakout-style game where you roam around the galaxy with your blue alien dog.

To do:

Hidden Game Data Editing Tools#
Several internal level editor tools that modify game data are hidden by default. To re-enable them, extract the entire Data.dat into a folder named Data, and delete the Data.dat file to force the game to load from the Data folder instead.
These tools will be visible on the File menu in the level editor:
- Asset Dependency Browser
- List Browser
- Image Browser
- Foo Editor
Early Game Logo#
An old game logo found in Cache/Resources/Interface/Main Menu Logo.Frame.
Loading Screen Image Oddities#
The gameplay screenshot seen on the loading screen has minor differences from the final release:
- The position of the "Rings" number count is different
- "Golden Rings" is written as just "Rings"
- Rail Ball looks different
Ricochet Lost Worlds Leftovers#
There are many leftover images from the previous game for compatibility with old level sets.

Leftover Main Menu Brick Patterns#
The main menu of Ricochet Lost Worlds showcases different playable brick patterns. This code is still technically kept on Ricochet Infinity, but replaced with a blank level. It is possible to restore the functionality by replacing Resources/Rounds/Main Menu Brick Patterns/Main Menu Start.Ricochet and Resources/Rounds/Main Menu Brick Patterns/None 1.Ricochet.
Hidden Brick Plugins#
Poisoned#
The Poisoned brick plugin is used by the invader that infects/poisons bricks. It can't be found on the usual brick plugins menu, but can be copied from the properties of the invader.
Change Self After Delay#
The Change Self After Delay brick plugin was available on Ricochet Lost Worlds, but now hidden on Ricochet Infinity. It can't be found on the usual brick plugins menu, but can be copied from old levels.
A popular technique used on old levels is to use both Change Self After Delay to !None (which made the brick invisible) and use Star Fish to show another image instead.
While Ricochet Infinity does introduce a more powerful Change Brick plugin that offers more functionality and less crash-prone than Change Self After Delay, it doesn't allow changing the brick type to !None.
Level Builder#
The Level Builder brick plugin is copied to every brick while the brick layer is playing. It can be seen by enabling the level debugger by typing debugon.
Alternate Game Name#
Similar to previous games in the Ricochet series, the game is named Rebound Infinity by some game distributors.3
Both editions feature the same gameplay and features, the only difference is the rebranding of Ricochet to Rebound in various places including the window title bar, quest name and planet (Ricochet Station becoming Rebound Station).

Revisional Differences#
Build 62#
The initial public release.
Build 64#
- Fixes a crash bug some users were experiencing when clicking fast when transitioning between levels.
- Allows remapping of controls, such as mouse buttons.
- Other minor enhancements, optimizations and minor improvements.
(Source: Reflexive Arcade)
- Fixes the Play Sound action in the level editor to properly show sounds

Build 68#
- New balls cannot be created when scoring to prevent a potential softlock occurring at the end of level scoring.
- Changes the Ship Specialty power up to continue giving the remainder power ups if the ship is bombed mid-way. Previous game builds didn't do this.
- Placing *.red files in the game folder no longer shows game data editing tools (e.g. Foo Editor).

Ricochet and Rebound are the same game. Real Networks has a deal with Reflexive Entertainment which allows Real to market their own version of the game using their own “branding.” Both games feature the exact same game play and same features. They are just “packaged” differently. Real uses a different name, different purchasing system, and a different way of limiting the demo version. But both games are the same price and play exactly the same.
