R.B.I. Baseball '94

The last R.B.I. game released on the Genesis featuring redrawn player graphics, better music, rather compressed player portraits, and Jack Buck's voice announcing every batted ball. An updated '95 release was planned for the Genesis but was scrapped in favor of an exclusive 32X release with further graphical enhancements.

Pressing A sets "DEF" to "YES", while B sets "DEF" to "NO" and sets the player's sprite back to its normal position. To go back to the title screen, press Start.

Specifically: Are there any other effects for these passwords? Some of these don't seem obvious.

In the ROM at 0x07E70 is a list of 11 passwords although one of them cannot be input. Their effects are as follows:

Password

Effect

BAD CODE

This password cannot be input because there's no blank space characters in the Password screen.

STILLBADCODE

Softlocks the game.

MAYDSCRLSALS

Starts a 2-Player game at the team selection screen, with whatever settings were already in place beforehand.

Starts a 1-Player game at the team selection screen with the Tengen and Dream Teams available. Difficulty is automatically set to Hard if it wasn't already set by the player.

DREAMONAGAIN

Starts a 0-Player (CPU vs. CPU) game at the team selection screen with the Tengen and Dream Teams available. Difficulty is automatically set to Hard if it wasn't already set by the player. If the Dream Team wins then a peculiar screen is displayed before the usual box score showing a stampede of runners. Pressing any button skips to the usual box score.

These are right before the regular credits at 18925C. It doesn't seem like any of the passwords will reveal the text, nor is there any known cheat code that reveals this.
