The game initially only allows you to enter the qualifying tournament on June 27th, and after winning that, it only allows you to enter the pro tournament on July 2nd. If you try to enter at the wrong date, you will be presented a popup message telling when the next tournament is starting. Therefore, these voice lines by the clerk are unused.

Development Foresight#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: How much of a time jump results in this ending?

The game starts out with the player at age 21 and allows advancing time by various means. The calendar in particular allows advancing forward in time by many years quickly. Choosing a date too far into the future, though, will result in the player getting a Game Over via dying of old age, along with some rather grim music.

Oddities#

  • The player stat Gambling seems to be pointless, as it is always at 50 and never changes regardless of the player's actions.
  • The pre-rendered pool table image files for the qualifying tournament in Las Vegas are referred to internally as Mansion for some reason.
