Nostradamus

Nostradamus is a vertical shooter named after the famous 16th-Century seer of the same name who is most well-known for having written a large number of prophecies (often so vague that they've since been connected with a number of world events). In this game, one of his supposed prophecies comes true, leading to our protagonists heading off to stop an incoming alien invasion.

The game has gained a bit of a following for its cool style and fun gameplay.

Japan

Korea

  • While the Japanese and Korean versions provide elaborate text descriptions on how the mechanics work in their respective languages, the World version instead uses hand and button graphics to showcase how things work.
  • The main gimmick of the game, the Energy Boost Acceleration System, is called the "Super Railgun System" in the Japanese version. The rectangular outline is also gold instead of silver like the other versions.
    • Additionally, the "SYSTEM" text is stretched out with a slightly different font as well in the Japanese version.
