My Hero is a game about a guy called Steven spending his whole days saving his girlfriend, Remy, while fighting a bunch of jerks, thugs, and clout chasers.
What kind of hero fights the same enemies and keeps forgiving their bosses over and over again, only to be unable to reunite with his babe? Definitely Nobody's hero.
Version Differences#
The game was released in Japan as Seishun Scandal (which translated is "Youth Scandal"), Cheongchun Ilbeonji (which translated is "Youth Avenue No. 1") in Korea, and My Hero in the US and Europe.
Four sets in MAME are present: Japanese, Korean, US, and a bootleg (this latter set doesn't present any alteration to the game (e.g. copyright string removal), so it can be assumed to be a carbon copy of a possibly undumped European version or an actual European version considered a bootleg for some reason).

For some reason, only Sega is credited in the US version (despite being just the game's publisher).

The US version changes the name entry's character limit from 13 to 3, akin to other Coreland games, like 4-D Warriors and Brain. This also changes the high score list as a result.
