Before Gran Turismo drove onto the PlayStation, there was the Motor Toon Grand Prix series, which was also about cars and driving, but instead of meticulously realistic vehicles, you drive around in toon cars.
This game was originally called Motor Toon Grand Prix 2 and is the sequel to a 1994 Japan exclusive PS1 racing game.
Regional Differences#
- Due to the name change, the logo and name in the opening movie, title screen and the title call out in the opening movie were altered in the North American version. These changes were also carried over into the Japanese USA Edition.
