Version Differences

This is a sub-page of Luxor 2 (Windows, Mac OS X).

Luxor 2 has some quite notorious version differences, especially when you compare later versions to earlier ones.

To do: Add all the UI differences between the early and later releases of Luxor 2 Document version 2.1.6.24, which is obtained exclusively from the Luxor: 5th Anniversary Edition disc.

Versions 2.0.6.15 and 2.0.6.17#

These versions of the game function nearly identical to one another, as most copies of Luxor 2 are included with either one of these two versions.

However, they have GVF-encrypted files and only contain the files necessary to run the game, besides the unused Upsell script that was modified for the Xbox 360 version.

Version 2.0.6.21#

A more stable build of the game, albeit without the S Final alongside it on the application window. Unlike the former versions, several UI dialogs were rewritten as this version was localized into different languages.

The powerup instructions screen in former versions explain what each of the thirteen powerups do, while later versions (including the game's Xbox 360 port) simply display the names of the powerups instead; however, there are unused translations of the powerup descriptions that would be used for other languages.
