Kendo Rage, known in Japan as Makeruna! Makendou, is an action platformer that fuses magical girl with kendo, where you must get to school in time while battling yōkai and all sorts of enemies on the way.
It get a sequel under the name of Makeruna! Makendou 2: Kimero Youkai Souri in 1995 which is instead a fighting game, with an OVA by OLM (a studio most famous for the Pokémon anime) releasing shortly after. Lastly, we got a third game titled Makeruna! Makendou Z in 1998 which is instead an RPG, for the PC-FX of all things, not long after it was discontinued.
