Heavy Rain is a story-based interactive movie game where you control various characters to solve the origami killer case, this time ported to modern platforms.

Unused Videos#
There are two unused videos found in the /Videos subfolder:
HR_LOGO_QD.bik#
An earlier version of the Quantic Dream logo, likely from earlier in development. The game uses HR_SCREEN_QD.bik instead.
HR_BONUS_MUSIC.bik#
A leftover video file from the PlayStation 3 version for the "Love Trailer". The PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game do not have this unlockable bonus in the game, resulting in it being unused for those versions.
Unused Audio#
There are several unused audio files for music, voice lines and effects, most of which are leftovers of scrapped chapters and the DLC chapter that never made it past the PS3 version. Their presence in the files is peculier because those chapters still existed in playable state in the PS3 version but were removed for the PS4 and PC version.
Unused Music#
AtmoSP_Underwater#
Music meant for the two scrapped blackout levels "Underwater" and "Swimming Again", where Ethan would be swimming in an underwater house before finding the bodies of the Origami Killer's victims. The first one happens during "Father and Son" where he finds the dead body of Jeremy Bowles - the previous victim. The second one happens during "The Park", where he sees Shaun instead. Those flashbacks were removed late in production and thus references to them still exist in the game.

Music used during the second scrapped blackout transition during "The Park". In that scene a Tsunami would've consumed the streats before reaching the park and drowning Ethan.

Unused Voicelines#
Several unused lines for either spoken dialogue or thoughts that the characters could have to themselves during the game.
Wake Up(Scrapped Chapter)#
A few leftover files from a scrapped chapter where Ethan had to take Shaun to school. The biggest task was to help him prepare and have breakfest in time in order to not be late. It seems most voicelines were removed from this version, but a news report and one of Ethan's thoughts are still preasent.

The Park#
When asking Shaun how his day at school went during the start of the chapter, his responses change depending on whether or not he did his homework in "Father and Son" and if Ethan took him to school in time in "Wake Up". However, since the latter chapter was removed, the game always defaults to Ethan being late to take him for school - making one of his lines unused.

DLC leftovers#
Leftover files from the first scene of the DLC chapter "The Taxidermist" - the first and only chapter made for the cancelled "Heavy Rain Chronicles" DLC which was meant to explore the backstories of several characters in standalone chapters taking place before the events of the game.
